About You
Maybe you need things to change or maybe you want to feel less stressed and more able to enjoy life. It could be you know exactly what you would like to work on or perhaps it's not so clear cut. We are all able to make change happen and then feel better in ourselves, but a little support can make all the difference. The first step is wanting things to alter and counselling can help you feel you are being listened to without being judged. As a counsellor I can be next to you on your life journey, helping you to unravel and deal with any unresolved problems and challenges. This can help you to acquire new ways of thinking, strategies to cope and so move forward in your life with inner strength, feeling happier with the world. The therapeutic relationship between you as client and me as counsellor is fundamental to our work together. When we meet I can give you a safe and confidential space to explore what feels demanding or challenging. |
About Me
My name is Greg and my counselling journey began when I was a social worker and found that some clients needed someone to talk to about their worries. I was trained integratively, which put simply means that I can use different counselling models including person centred and cognitive behaviour therapy. I have worked in health and social care since 1998 and been a counsellor since 2013. I have a current DBS check, Public Liability Insurance, monthly supervision and continue my professional development through relevant training. I am a member of the National Counselling & Psychotherapy Society (website link below) and adhere to their Code of Ethics.

"I'd happily recommend Calm Counselling as a first stop to anyone looking to go down the route of seeking counselling. They will find Greg to be professional, empathetic, non-judgemental and straightforward".
"I felt like even after the first session I started to feel better, just sharing my worries and thoughts with someone like yourself who I felt really listened to me".
"One important thing is sharing problems with someone neutral, not my partner, I can talk more openly to Greg".
